Sneaker Freaker is a world-renowned print magazine, digital publisher and creative agency looking for a Social Media Coordinator to join a team of storytellers, content producers and creatives.
Our social content is delivered to a global audience in the millions each month, so the ideal candidate will be a digital native that instinctively knows what our sneaker-loving audience wants to see.
Experience creating and editing video content and with scheduling tools like Later is essential. The successful candidate will be proficient at organic amplification across multiple channels and confident in their ability to think quickly and engage with the sneaker community. They will also be responsible for ideation and will work across planning, scheduling and execution, so organisation skills are vital.
You will work closely with the editorial team to ensure the brand’s tone of voice is followed, and work directly with the Social Media and Marketing Manager to ensure targeting, brand messaging and execution aligns with the approved strategy.
You will definitely need to know your Air Max from your Air Force, so if you live and breathe sneakers, be prepared to flex that knowledge!
Responsibilities:
– Create, schedule and publish content across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and LinkedIn to drive engagement and audience growth
– Interact with SF followers including on-post comments to enhance community connection and brand vibrancy
– Manage community requests via DM and email
– Create and edit video content
– Edit photos and write engaging captions
– Identify ideas on social platforms and liaise with the editorial team to bring new opportunities to life
– Generate fresh, creative and engaging ways to evolve SF across social platforms
– Provide recommendations focused on audience growth, retention and engagement
– Work with the Social Media and Marketing Manager to provide reports
You will need:
– Prior experience in a similar role or have a killer social media account
– Experience in creating social media video content for Facebook, Instagram and TikTok
– Experience with analytics/scheduling tools to make well-researched recommendations
– To be a fast learner and work independently under tight deadlines
– Highly organised and efficient communicator
– Work independently and within a team
– Work well under pressure and hit daily deadlines
– Knowledge of Indesign and Photoshop preferred

News Writer

Location: North America (Remote)
Sneaker Freaker are on the hunt for a talented news writer to join the team. The ideal candidate will be highly organised and have their finger on the pulse across the sneaker and streetwear industry. They will live and breath daily news and understand the importance of getting the right stories published at the right times to hit maximum impact.
They will work closely with our editorial, creative and social teams to ensure Sneaker Freaker’s digital channels are up to date. Managing daily news schedules and writing short- and long-form content will be required.
An appreciation of sneakers and streetwear is important in this role, along with knowledge of pop culture and the natural instinct for what makes a reader tick!
Role:
– Manage the daily news calendar
– Produce engaging short-form posts and social captions
– Manage daily content schedules with editorial and social teams
– Work with the managing editor to build and manage content calendar and strategy
– Work with the managing editor to optimise content practices and processes
– Ideate stories, source news and produce daily content
– Edit content when required to a high standard
Experience:
– 2+ years' experience as a journalist or content producer
– The ability to write, publish and edit content that leans into deeper storytelling
– Strong eye for detail and the instincts for a great story
– Knowledge of digital publishing systems and social media
– InDesign and Photoshop skills are definitely useful
– Highly organised and able to manage multiple briefs and projects
– Ability to work closely with a team and also operate independently
– Solid understanding of sneakers and street culture
– Ability to work well under pressure and hit daily deadlines

We are looking for a vibrant brand partnerships manager to raise Sneaker Freaker’s profile across North America through meaningful relationships and by working closely with retail and brand partners. Ideally located in either Los Angeles or New York, the successful candidate will have a strong network and existing connections within the sneaker industry.
Role:
– Build relationships with partners and organisational stakeholders
– Utilise networks to secure new partners for Sneaker Freaker
– Research, develop, and pitch new strategies to improve partner communications
– Identify all viable sales opportunities
– Develop engaging sales presentations backed by relevant data and case studies
– Communicate with key partners regularly to ensure projects are developed and delivered on time
– Negotiate partnership agreements
– Work with marketing and editorial teams to ensure all partner campaigns run smoothly
Experience:
– 3+ years' experience as a brand partnership manager or a similar role
– Strong communication skills
– Customer-oriented attitude
– Excellent negotiation skills
