Japan-based label are celebrating the first anniversary of their Tokyo flagship location with another colab, once again tapping the Wave Prophecy model for a Dieter Rams-inspired colourway.

Graphpaper is not new to the sneakersphere and has actually been a subtly successful collaborator for a number of years. Back in 2019, the Tokyo brand were tapped by to reinterpret the then extremely popular model, opting for a full grey look with premium materials. They’ve also linked with Mizuno a handful of times, looking to the Wave Rider Beta and for reworks.

Graphpaper’s signature touch is minimal and super sleek, hence why their latest inspiration for their Mizuno Wave Prophecy 8 is Dieter Rams. For those who don’t know, Dieter Rams is the legendary German industrial designer associated with Braun. He still remains an influential figure for designers around the globe, with the inpso coming through on this Wave Prophecy through the use of simplistic colour palettes and minimal design.

The Graphpaper x Mizuno Wave Prophecy 8 will launch on June 14 to commemorate the brand’s first anniversary of their Tokyo flagship. They’ll also be dropping through their online store and select Mizuno locations around Japan. If these are anything like the last pair, expect pairs to sell-out with the quickness.
