The Nike Dunk Low 'Philly' Is Getting a Wider Release
The Major League Baseball Team the Philadelphia Phillies are having a pretty sweet 2024 season, recently beating the Texas Rangers and the Washington Nationals. But for their fans who happen to be sneakerheads, it just got a little sweeter because the MLB heavyweights have just announced a collaboration on the , and it’s set to drop exclusively in the Pennsylvanian capital city. Interestingly, this joint venture came about after the Phillies’s mascot took to the field wearing a pair of custom Dunks, and little did fans know that the iteration would actually be landing at the end of this month.
This pair, dubbed the , won't be the first time a Dunk Low has arrived with that name. Two years ago, Nike SB dropped a blue Dunk with the same name. It formed part of the 'Bubblegum Pack', which also included an SB Dunk Low that was inspired by the New York Mets.
This latest colourful creation was made in partnership with Philadelphia-based boutique retailers Creme and Capstone & Hammer, and the blue collar inhabitants of the city of Philadelphia are the inspiration behind the design. The overlays of this pair have been crafted using suede, with additional premium leather underlays, a colourful collar and ‘Philly’ scripted on the rear.
The Nike Dunk Low ‘Philly ’ will land exclusively through Lapstone & Hammer and Creme on May 30. A wider release in Philadelphia-based stores will go down on June 1, including at the Phillies Citizens Bank park store.
