The Nike Alphafly 3 ‘Blueprint’ Sets the Pace for the Swoosh’s Olympic Drops
Things have been heating up this year in the running world, as brands have been battling it out to deliver record-breaking super shoes. Among the winners so far is Nike’s Alphafly 3. A prototype powered the late Kelvin Kimptum to victory in Chicago last year before the final version hit the shelves in January – perfectly timed for those New Year’s resolutions. Now, a new ‘Blueprint’ colourway has been revealed ahead of the Paris Olympics, which will kick off in the French capital in July.
The ‘Blueprint’ Alphafly 3 was one of the silhouettes showcased in Nike’s ‘On Air’ event in Paris earlier this year, as the colourway looks to define the Swoosh’s Olympic offering. Starting off with a crisp white base, the palette incorporates energetic flashes of blue on the Swooshes, heel and tongue branding, while calling back to the previous pair by reincorporating the orange-toned Air Zoom unit. As expected, the ‘Blueprint’ pair features all the usual tech on the Alphafly 3, including its super-lightweight Atom-knit uppers and ZoomX sole.
With the Games just over a month away, the Swoosh are still yet to reveal a release date for the Nike Aphafly 3 ‘Blueprint’, but current rumours suggest that the pair could hit the ground running from July 3. Stay tuned to Sneaker Freaker for all the latest as it comes in.
